The DW849 features a powerful 8.0 Amp, 120V AC/DC, all ball-bearing motor for long life. Electronic module provides full power, even under load, from 1,000-3,000 rpm. Conveniently located variable speed dial lets you adjust speed for different materials and applications. Heat-treated, precision-cut gears for smooth operation. External brush caps for easy servicing and spindle lock for easy pad changing.

Included are the HB-1 heavy cut, HB-2 medium cut, HB-3 light cut, HB-4 soft polish and HB-5 final finish Euro foam pads. Everything you need from a heavy cut/compounding to the final high gloss finish! The foam pads have a deep-dish bowl design with a rounded edge that substantially reduces risk of burning painted surfaces from the edge of the backing plate. The rigid construction allows for increased durability, easy self-centering of hook backing plate, and better control with high speed buffing action.

Note: pads require Velcro backing plate - such as our VP-10 backer.
